MOTH LAMP
For this project, I was tasked with creating a "lamp" (loosely defined, needing only to specify a light source to meet the requirement). I designed this moth with glowing eyes in Inventor. I wanted to challenge the knowledge I had and create something with more natural shapes than I had before. The class I did this project for emphasized learning a number of different softwares and allowed students to focus on one of their choosing for projects which was a setup I really enjoyed.
In addition to creating a model, this project also included fully dimensioned drawing sets with detail and section views
I chose to include detail views of the spots on the wings for easier dimensioning, as well as a close up of the moth's head for a closer look at the eye and antennae.
