Sheet Metal Lamp
A sheet metal lamp designed and fabricated using rivets, fasteners, and spot welding, for a manufacturing class
Boeing Stearman 75 + Hangar Model
Modeled a Boeing Stearman 75 and hangar in AutoDesk Inventor. Created an animation and rendered images of a scene in 3ds Max.
CNC Furniture
Designed a pair of plant stands to be made using a CNC. All joints are press fit and no fasteners are used.
Welded Artwork
MIG welded artwork from scrap steel extrusions in a 1' x 1' steel frame. Utilized oxyacetylene torch to bend solid steel bar.
Automated Latte Machine
Work with a class of 27 students to build an automated latte machine. Minimum viable product was 3 lattes with no interference.
Ice Cube Mold
An engineering themed ice cube tray with gears, hammers, and wrenches designed with a partner for fabrication class.
Car Races
Build a robotic car that holds a phone and drives remotely back to a classroom from within the building.
Drill Teardown - SolidWorks
Disassembled and modeled a Black + Decker 8V Cordless Drill. I was responsible for modeling all internal drill components.
Roomba Maze
Use the create 3 robot to navigate a maze. Using an airtable, the robot should receive commands from a different room.
FEA Analysis - SolidWorks
Conducted a finite element analysis using SolidWorks, modified the structure and evaluated modifications for safety.
Star Road
Designed and built a Super Mario themed line following robot using a Raspberry Pi and a color sensor.
Moth Lamp - AutoDesk Inventor
Created a model of a lamp for a midterm. The model came with a fully defined drawing set made in AutoCad.
Flag Pole Linkage
Created a linkage system with 9 links that results in 10 centimeters of vertical linear motion replicating Mario sliding down the flag pole.
Tank
A wirelessly controlled tank designed to go up a ramp, completed in a team of four for electronics and controls class.
Electromechanical Game
Individually coded and designed an electromechanical marble game with a button-controlled motor.
Talking in Sentences
To write asynchronous code and get multiple methods of serial communication working between two different Raspberry Pi Picos.
Sheet Metal Staircase
A fully weight-bearing sheet metal staircase that was inspired from textured sheetmetal found in Home Depot.
CNC Jewelry Box
A simple jewelry box to practice application of Design for Manufacturing principles and learn the CNC mill.
Laser Cut Earrings
Earrings laser cut using a VLS 3.60 Laser Cutter. Ran a workshop that taught people how to use the laser cutter at Tufts.
Custom Gear Profiles
Create custom gear profiles to gear down a stepper motor with a 4:1 gear ratio. All gears designed and prototyped by students.
Physical Projects Overview
All of the mediums I have experience in, all in one page. Sheetmetal working, soldering, laser cutting, 3D printing, and more.
Basic Modeling and Design - 3DS Max
Applied images to basic shapes in 3DS Max. The phone and lamp were provided, everything else was modeled as an addition to the scene.
More CAD
A collection of items that I have modeled, simple and complex, in and outside of classwork.
House - 3DS Max
Gained an understanding of 3DS Max by applying bitmaps, bump maps, and opacity maps to a house (provided).
